I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what it really means to live authentically. Life hasn’t always been easy, but it’s taught me lessons I’m grateful for — about resilience, awareness, and purpose.
There is nothing in my life that has shaped me more than raising my children. Being their mom has been my greatest teacher — in patience, humility, strength, and unconditional love. Even on the hardest days, I feel deeply grateful that I get to walk beside them, watch them grow into who they are becoming, and learn from them just as much as they learn from me. This season of motherhood has grounded me, softened me, and given my life a depth of meaning I could never have imagined.
I’ve always felt a very spiritual connection, a sense that there’s a larger rhythm guiding us. Being consciously aware of what we’re doing here, even in small, everyday choices, has become a guiding principle for me. I try to listen to that inner voice and let it shape how I live.
Work has always been a part of my life, and I’ve pushed myself hard. But it’s not just about achievement — it’s about creating freedom. Freedom to live my life on my own terms, to follow my values, and to have space for rest, reflection, and what truly matters. Early retirement is part of that plan, not as an escape, but as a path toward intentional living.
My dogs are a quiet, joyful part of my life. They help me slow down, enjoy simple moments, and stay present — little companions on this journey of living intentionally.
Each day is a chance to notice, to pause, and to choose how I show up in the world. That’s what I hope to explore here — simple reflections, small joys, and the little practices that make life feel more grounded and real.
Authentically, Jessica
